Flasks are glassware products that are used in the laboratory to make solutions, to measure chemicals or solutions and it collects and holds the chemicals. It is used in the process of mixing, heating, cooling, dissolving, precipitation and boiling the solutions in the chemical reaction. Shape of the body of the vessel is wide and neck of the vessel has narrow tabular sections. Types include reaction flasks, distillation flasks, reagent flasks, round bottom flasks, cassia flasks, erlenmeyer flasks, volumetric flasks, dewar flasks, evaporating flasks, powder flasks, retorts and bushner flasks.
