 What is Acid Dye?

Acid Dye is a water soluble dye with salt content which is acidic in nature. It is either sodium or ammonium salts of organic acid. It can be classified as leveling acid dyes, milling acid dyes and neutral acid dyes. It is similar and have the feature of attracting amphoteric fiber. It is used for coloring purposes in fiber, food and medical products. Acid dye uses non toxic acids which is not harmful.
